So often I end up with two edits and I can't decide which one. Ann brought me peonies last summer. This ws the last one -- holding out in the kitchen window.

Hard to decide. I like them both very much. The one on the right is a little warmer, and maybe I like it more for that reason.
“Hanging in there” is best served by the right-hand image. They both have the reality that when the flower is cut or when we are born, we start to die. That’s just the way it is. Hooray for those living creatures that can hang on and present us with beauty.
