Summer Livin’

At the height of summer: hot midday sun washing everything blindingly white and dark mossy glades in richest fullness, flowers and seedpods scattering the goodness for next year, parched plants bending under pelting rain, and glistening green, Green!, leaves in autumn red against the crackling dry brown of last season on the forest floor. And it all with a chorus of bull frogs announcing the coming election.
