This post in particular reminded me of the need to focus on the positive in whatever our experiences of the day. Sure, there must have been flies, maybe some inclement weather, and difference of opinions about where to pitch the tent or what to make for a meal at the end of the day, BUT…..oh, it is so much better to focus on the good in life for it is the path that keeps us all motivated to get up each day and to seek out the beauty that is too easily missed when preoccupied by selfish affairs. As usual, your photos transported me to the sight and sounds of the paddle splashing in the water and the loon singing its haunting song.

Magnif. views, reminding me of similar memorable sojourns to the ME woods. Refreshing to see the carpenter in a different roll; slinging a paddle, instead of a hammer.
However, cannot the perfect campsite be found wherever you happen to be?

Absolutely loved your perfect pond n adored the shot of the peaceful fellow, your adorable canoe paddling partner shot at sunset. makes me appreciate nature so much more when I can view it from your expert eyes n wonderous Pictures. thank you for taking me along in that canoe if only for a few moments, by reading your lovely memories past n present.

a lifelong search for the perfect campsite and the wildest pond or lake, there to gain ample time to contemplate the loon’s haunting cry, observe the moose splashing by in the morning, and indulge in the pleasure of a daily paddle.
