In spite of the very dry season I see some awesome colors around the area. We are so fortunate to have the leaves drop extra early on our west side thus allowing the sun in our kitchen for a longer period as the West Mountain blocks a longer setting sun.
Now is the time to look for eatable mushrooms but one must scout for them in the early morning hours.

These are beautiful – good to have you back. The leaves remind us of the end of one part of the cycle. While we, like the leaves, may not be back in the spring, some other life will begin or continue.
